ONYX in Paris

"We had an excellent experience for my birthday dinner. Manel was an excellent server. She was animated and made my birthday special. My husband doesn't speak French and she spoke English very well and was able to communicate flawlessly with him. The ambiance was great and the meal was delicious. I am grateful that we picked this restaurant to celebrate my birthday in Paris!"

"First Trip to Paris, day three and Onyx was my lunch pick as it is close to the Galleria Lafayette and well we wanted to walk off the food! First things first make SURE you make a reservation! So we got in was greeted and seated almost immediately!... We were seated jus by the pastry Chefs station and was amazed at how well the worked together... Lou, our waiter popped over and introduced himself, he brought over the English Menu & explained the the dishes to us, which was great!... For starters we ordered veal & mackerel and for our main, a meat dish, fish of the day and dessert.... Everything was presented well, had perfect temperature and was presented VERY well. Price was great as well"

"I'm sure I will visit ONYX every time I visit Paris. I wish I could give 100 stars Everything was made with love and passion and I could tell that the crew took great pride in their job. My waiter Ange was extremely sweet and considerate, he took great care of me and made sure I had a wonderful experience. The chefs behind the bar was also very friendly and they made me feel comfortable as a solo diner in a new country. All the dishes were out of this world. I literally told them I was in love with the dessert. After my experience at ONYX, the fine dining restaurants at home (America) can't satisfy me anymore"

"Very light and relaxing atmosphere, the stuff is very kind and fast serving. The food was great, carefully selected ingredients with funky combinations. Loved the foie de gras appetizer and the main course combined with the same. Make sure you book in advance."

"The food was well presented. The set menu at €35 was good but not exceptional. The courses from the selection à la carte were nicer with lots of flavours. The best course for me was the dessert ( a la carte not from the set menu). I would definitely recommend the millefeuille!! If you can afford it, go for courses a la carte (not the set menu). The cocktails were nice as well (not cheap but nice!)"

"This restaurant was a gem of a find for me and my girlfriend who visited on our second night in Paris. Upon entering we noted the space was modern, clean and welcoming. Greeted and seated by front of house quickly even though the restaurant was quite full and we were ten minutes early to our reservation. We were waited on by Ange, who spoke excellent English which allowed us to be guided through what we were eating and made our experience even more enjoyable, providing ample top ups of water and bread whilst we were waiting for each course. Ange was extremely attentive and personable and even whilst serving multiple tables, made the effort to make us feel well looked after and took the time to chat and joke with us during and after our meal. We had the 5-step tasting experience. The amuse bouche were exquisite, the starters delightful and light but showed us we were in for a treat. Then mains; both the Monkfish and the Fillet of Beef were cooked to perfection, and the dishes as a whole were well presented and balanced. The Mushroom accompanying the beef was a treat in itself, providing more enjoyment than what I thought possible from a simple mushroom. Finally dessert, which again presented beautifully, was extremely delicious and would have happily had 5 plates worth of on its own. Well worth the money as a meal and dining experience. My only complaint if looking for fault, was our table seemed to be just a little close to the table next to us and as a personal preference I would have given just a little more space between our table and the next providing a little more intimacy between my partner and I. However I don’t think this was an issue with the whole restaurant as most tables seemed well distanced. Overall, I would say a beautiful restaurant, friendly atmosphere, enjoyable food and fair value for money for a mid to higher end menu. Would definitely return."

"Had a fabulous dinner at Onyx. I started with the Porn Star Martini which was out of this world. We did not choose the 5 course menu but ordered à la carte. The prawn appetizer was very flavorful but not what I expected. The Wagyu appetizer was the perfect size and also very tasty. My entree was the beef filet prepared perfectly to medium rare. The accompaniments were also very good. For dessert I had the Paris Brest which was fresh, delicate and full of flavor. Our server, Yassine, was very attentive and answered all our questions about the menu. He recommended my entree and I have to say he was on point. Highly recommend Onyx for a delicious dinner."
